It's official.
I am not old.
Just older.
Two weeks ago the Bonneville High School Class of '91 held our 20 year reunion. What the freak?! Twenty years!
My graduating class consisted of over 300 students. Over the two days of events we were able to gather about 100 of us so the attendance was low but we had a great time none the less!
Darren was such a great sport and attended all of the events with me. Friday night we had a meet and greet at the high school. It is amazing how much it has yet hasn't changed over the years.
Saturday we met for a family picnic which I loved. I LOVE being able to meet everyones families.
I have to admit that I was very nervous about this reunion. There is so much pressure that we put on ourselves. At least woman put on ourselves. I had every intention of loosing a few pounds before the big weekend. That didn't happen. I had every intention on having a new hair cut and color before the weekend. My hair stylest had to reschdule so I was very stressed over my hair. Typical.
I realized very quickly that all of those little things I was stressed about didn't matter. We were all there to just love and accept eachother.
All of those petty differences that exist in high school didn't matter. Everyone was comfortable, relaxed and excited to be there.
We have all grown. We all have so much in common yet live very different lives as well. We were proud of our families and interested in others.
Katelyn was very interested in the entire concept of a class reunion. She asked me several times if I was going to see my BFF there. I was excited to report that I did in fact see one of my BFF's from the good 'ol days. We don't see each other often but when we do it is like time has stood still.
Now that our boys attend Skyline.... my loyaties are with the BIG BLUE but I will always be a Bonneville Girl at heart and can't wait for the 25 year event!

wait a minute... you left the best photos off this blog post. :) I know you've got more that you're just dying to share!
