This last week was...well.. BUSY! I had a house full of company all week! My sister from Phoenix arrived last weekend and has been here for 10 days. My older sister from Utah arrived last week and spent the weekend with us.
I LOVE it when I am able to spend time with my sisters. They are my best friends. We have a unique connection and I feel like we are the only ones who truly understand each other. It is crazy when we are together... there are six of us total and 21 grandchildren.. so chaos.. yes.. stress.. yes... but it is worth it.
Friday we spent the day at Ross Park. A favorite water park of ours in Pocatello. The kids had fun goofing off and we had fun suntanning.. well for me burning.. and just talking!
Take a peak at the above pics! THESE are the most important people in my life. My family.
Our city celebrated the holiday on Saturday.. and man.. did we celebrate. The day was filled with our local city parade. Listening to my Dad's band play along the river banks. Enjoying a wonderful family picnic then the amazing firework show here in Idaho Falls.
The 4th is BY FAR my favorite holiday. Idaho Falls is the place to be for the holiday. Most of my family comes home. We are busy but don't have the stress of gifts. Perfect!
Sunday was spent focusing on those things that matter the most to us. The chaos and fun was set aside. We attended church, visited my Mom's grave then had a private baby blessing for my nephew. Man... did I miss my Mom that day. I know she was with us in spirit and is so proud of each of us.
The above pics are of my two sisters that came from out of town and their sweet families. I love it! AND... check out the bottom right picture. Here are five of the six girls in birth order starting with my oldest sister on the left then me, Christie, Natalie (Katie is missing) then Emily. My best friends for eternity!
Ok.. LONG post.. I know... are you still with me?
As you can see.. I have A LOT to do this week. I need to print photos! I need to record my feelings from the weekend. I need to Scrap! Oh and I need to clean, do laundry, grocery shop, catch up on work, but... you know.. such is life.
Tell me what will YOU BE DOING this week to preserve your memories? What will you work on? Something simple? Printing some photos? What do you WISH you could do? How is your PAPERLIFE???Leave me a comment... I will choose one lucky reader this weekend and send you a FREE value kit from ETM! Yahoo!!! Good luck~

I scrapbook a lot! I try to keep my layouts pretty simple and focus on the pictures!

We're getting ready for vacation- out on our boat for 2 weeks.... Lots of checklists right now- especially a journal to record things that are going on while on vacation- to scrap 'em later! :) I'm sooooo far behind it's not even funny, but still hope to get some pages done when we get back! :)

I am making my 14 month old great-granddaughter a play kitchen out of an old bedside table and that will create new memories for me when they deploy to Germany in August for 3 years. I will be taking pictures to scrap when she is gone.

I just got back from a class at my LSS on using the Silhouette. I also am having some old photos copied of when my Dad was a little boy.
I hope to work on a sketch challenge too!

I will be organizing photos and of course shooting some more of my little ones as they play out in the yard or help me in the garden. I also hope to get some time in my scrapbook room to create some layouts. ;)

Im hoping to get in some card making and possibly a scrapbook page or so between working everyday! Though I probably will not get to it this week end maybe next I can get a bit more organized and plan out some pages! I really want to get scrapping more pages! Listening to your pod cast yesterday really has me itching to get busy. Now to just make the time, and hopefuly the energy to accomplish it!

As my daughter turned 6 on the 4th of July, I will be scrapping the weekend celebration - from parades to fireworks to presents and cake. Fun!! I can't wait to buy some fun products to do these events with. The 4th of July is obviously my fave holiday too - even though I was born at Xmas, my husband at New Years, and my other daughter at Vet's day... :)

We just recently returned from a family vacation to Nauvoo--some place we'd never visited before so we took lots of pictures. I'm going through them right now to see which ones I want printed for the scrapbook, then I'll do more through a video scrapbook. FUN!

I just ordered some pictures from Snapfish and I am excited to just work on some scrap pages. I want to get them done! My kids have been looking through scrapbooks this summer, so it is motivating me to get more pages done.

Kim, I am listening to your interview and what a GREAT interview. Thank you so very much for sharing your story. I loved it. I do have to say, you do give a good interview, you should apply for the Today Show!!
As for this week, so far its been pretty "laid back". Today was a busy day shopping and preparing props for our upcoming VBS program. I am very involved with the whole planning of it this year and it is going good so far. I am so excited for it to get here. That is my main focus this week, getting the art projects prepped, working more on props and on top of all that, expecting company tomorrow night from good ol IF:) and they will be here for the weekend, not sure what all is in store for us over the weekend.
Have a great week yourself. Get some R and R.

I found you through Amy and the Paperlife podcast. Loved the interview and really want to check out your kits. Sadly, I think and talk about and spend money on scrapbooking a lot more than I actually do any scrapbooking but my kids are getting older and slowly I'm finding a little more time for a little scrapping here and there and loving it. Thanks for the chance to win a kit!

I have 2 friends who have just become grandmothers and I am making them small 8x8 albums to record some of these first memories. My grandson is almost 6 and I wish for them all the joys I have experienced because of him.
