HELLO! First and foremost WELCOME to any new readers that found my blog or web site from Heidi Swapps blog. I am glad you are here! Yahoo!
I hope you will come back often, leave a comment, and become one of my new blog buddies!
So much to blog about this week. I am so excited I can't stand it! I have been working on so many things the past several weeks. As my husband can agree to, my mind never shuts down and has been on 24/7 overdrive.
I think the biggest reason for that is because I have been looking forward to the new year with so much hope, so many plans, so many goals I want to works towards. I have given much thought about what I want to accomplish this year. Where I want to be at the end of the year. Areas in my life that need improvement.
I have a renewed commitment to my Scrapbooking. I am going to actually print photos! Sort. Organize. Scrap!
For the past couple of years we have focused on a project each year through our Express the Moment club kits. Last year we created a gratitude journal. The year before we focused on a calendar and taught our customers a new idea each month so they could complete their project.
This year I wanted the project to be unique. Different. Something that would excite my customers and teach them to think outside of the box a bit.
And then I was inspired.
If you know me. You know I love the show 24. Jack is the man! We are counting down the days until the series starts again. My phone ringer is the CTU phone ringer. We constantly talk about what Jack Bauer would do and quote the show.
So.. this years ETM club project for the year is....
Let me explain.
There are 24 hours in the day right? How do you spend your day? What is a typical day for you? What is your routine? What defines a good day for you? What turns a good day into a bad one? We are all given the same amount of time but we all choose how we spend our time differently.
As mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, friends we wear so many hats. We have so many different roles in life. We spend the day cooking, cleaning, driving the kids to all of their commitments while trying to manage all of ours. We work, we play, we cry, we laugh.
The purpose behind this project is to document what you do within your day. Each month, you will take two pictures. Only two. Showing what you do within a 24 hour time period. For example, the pictures I am taking this month are the steering wheel of my car and my computer keyboard.
Beginning with the ETM January Club Kit you will receive a tag album template. As you receive your new kit each month, I will show you how to add to your Project 24 album. Ideas on how to scrap the pictures and journal about the pictures using the current kit supplies.
At the end of the year, you will have created two tags each month giving you 24 tags. Each tag is documenting how you spend the 24 hours of each day. Project 24!!!!! (can you hear the music from the show?)
I would love to have you join us! Click HERE to subscribe to the club! Join the ETM online forum to share ideas using your kit each month and how you are going to create your Project 24!
Now.. on to the next exciting news! Recognize this amazing lady? Of course you do! I am so excited to announce that Heidi Swapp joins ETM this month as our guest designer!
I had the opportunity to first meet Heidi several years ago at CKU. That weekend was spent laughing, telling a few odd stories and most of all being inspired. This was when Heidi was first releasing her brand name and since that time I have followed her work closely and have continued to be amazed at her talent.
What I love and appreciate about Heidi the most is her down to earth and sincere personality. She is so easy to talk to and makes you feel like a better person after you have spent time with her. She is an amazing teacher and has never ending ideas. Her energy is contagious!
Heidi and I have spent a lot of time chatting the past several months. She is my texting buddy! She graciously accepted the invitation to design this month and I couldn't be more thrilled!
Take a peak at just a couple of the projects she has created using this months Moments Scrapbooking kit!
I love the detail on the above layout. Simply love it! Love the way Heidi also used House of 3 elements on your journal card. Love how she layered the felt flowers in the bottom corner. Amazing!
In the above layout not only did Heidi use the January Club kit but she also used her Silhouette machine to create the word 'forever". Adorable!
NOW.. how about a little contest? Classic ETM style right? How would YOU like to win a FREE January Club kit? Simply leave me a comment telling me one thing you always do each and every day? How do you spend the 24 hours that are given to you? What is your routine? What do you have to do each day? What do you wish you didn't have to do? Think about it!
I will read each and every post and one week from today draw a winner! Do you know that one week from today is? The season premier of 24!!!! Love it!
Good luck!
